About me

Noor Amari is a photographer and filmmaker based in Lisbon, originally from Porto. The first camera was a gift at thirteen, and the first subjects were three younger sisters who never once agreed to sit still.

After studying visual storytelling in Lisbon and assisting on fashion sets in Paris, Noor started a practice built on patience: fewer frames, longer conversations and light that is found rather than made. Today the work moves between portrait, documentary and commercial commissions, and has been shown in exhibitions across Portugal and Spain.
